DINO-LIGHT was the recipient of the prestigious Jim Henson Foundation Grant and will be performed here by creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp. In this original storyline, a famous scientist with magical powers brings a friendly dinosaur to life. When the dinosaur wanders away from home, he discovers a wonderful world full of creatures that light up the darkness and help him find the true meaning of love. This glow-in-the-dark adventure is visually amazing and has been praised by audiences all over the world for its cutting edge blend of puppetry, technology, and dance. 

Fun for the whole family, this show runs for approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.

Featured music will include Jean Sibelius' Finlandia and music from the hit animated movies Frozen and How to Train Your Dragon. With two symphony orchestras and over 120 student musicians from across Kitsap, Pierce, and Jefferson Counties, this will be an exciting afternoon of music you won't want to miss. The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West is stationed in the San Francisco Bay Area at Travis Air Force Base, California. The only active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies, the Band of the Golden West is comprised of about 60 talented and versatile Airmen-musicians under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Cristina Moore Urrutia. In addition to performing for civilian communities throughout the states of California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada, the band supports 13 Air Force Bases, 8 Air Force Reserve Wings, and 6 recruiting squadrons in over 250 annual performances for 1.5 million listeners.

The organization offers several outstanding performing groups: Concert Band, Ceremonial Marching Band, Commanders’ jazz ensemble, Mobility popular music ensemble, Travis Brass quintet, Golden West Winds woodwind quintet, and Galaxy popular music ensemble. Additionally, the Band of the Golden West provides solo vocalists for the performance of our National Anthem and solo buglers for Taps details.

The Band of the Golden West has performed for gubernatorial inaugurations, with guest artists such as Marvin Stamm, Arturo Sandoval and Bob Hope, and for the fans of Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and Infineon NASCAR races. In the last ten years the band has led off three Tournament of Roses parades in Pasadena, CA. In 2004, the USAF Band of the Golden West was honored to support the interment ceremony of President Ronald Reagan in Simi Valley, CA, an event, viewed by a global TV audience of over 400 million. More recent events include featured performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and Pentatonix. Most recently the band supported the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit Welcome Reception hosted by President Joe Biden and first lady, Dr. Jill Biden.

Bremerton WestSound Symphony presents Planets and Empowerment.  Tour the solar system with the symphony as we complete our 81st season of music!  Holst's masterwork features an immense orchestra performing the rage of Mars, the joy of Jupiter, and many others.  Tames Alan connects this work to the time of its writing with stories and scenes of women in the upheaval and societal change during World War I.

Celebrating 43 years in Kitsap County, prize-winning students of Dr. Irene Bowling will be performing piano solos in two recitals, back to back. Students range in age from 5 to 25, beginning level to piano performance degrees. You won't want to miss this opportunity to hear some of the best pianists in the state. Please come join us for a wonderful and exciting afternoon of music making!
